Teorías de género y teología:: breve aproximación a una relación

Abstract

Gender theories and theology may seem like incompatible terms whose relationship can only be understood in terms of confrontation. Convinced that this is not the only possible way of relating, we ask ourselves: can the category of gender contribute something to theological reflection? Is it a concept that can –to some extent– be assumed in theology? In this work, we propose to show the contributions that gender theories make to theology and the positive bridges that can be built between both of them. We will study how a specific link occurs through feminist theologies, specifically analyzing some of their developments: Mariology.
