Maurice Bellet:: La fidélité créatrice

Abstract

This text reconstructs the theological trajectory of the French theologian Maurice Bellet (1923-2018), at the crossroads of theology, philosophy and psychoanalysis. Promoter of a theology that listens to the Scriptures and the quests for truth and meaning of human beings, Maurice Bellet was one of the most famous theologians of his generation. After some considerations on the nature of Bellet’s theological gesture, the author develops three central themes in Bellet’s work: the Word, the figure of Christ, and the requirement of a critical faith.
