The pastoral literary genre of the II Vatican Council as interpretative key of its identity and relevance

Abstract

In the fallowing article we want to show through the contrast method the unusual aspects of the style and spirit of the II Vatican Council by John XXIII anticipated through its pastoral literary genre, style and vocabulary.

This aspects represent a new way of presenting the doctrine and understanding a council and the role of the Church in the Modern World.
